Feroball® is a special designed self lubricating spherical plain bearing for slow moving/oscillating applications. Feroball® bearings are designed for humid and wet environments, Feroball® bearings are also known for their specific low stick-slip limits. Feroball® spherical bearings are available in full composite (FBA series) and Stainless Steel (FBT and FBX series).
Feroball® FBT series are made of Feroform T814 and Stainless Steel (1.4404). This combination makes them superior corrosion resistance against other Cr-Ni steel materials. On request various combinations are possible.
• Inner ring: Stainless Steel 316L (1.4404)
• Outer ring: Stainless Steel 316L (1.4404)
• Sliding material: Feroform T814
Feroball® FBT ND-series and HD-series are the standard design. The ND-series start with a shaft size from Ø20 going up to Ø1000 mm. HD-series start with a shaft size from Ø100 mm up to Ø1000 mm. For larger angles of tilt special FW series are available
ND (Normal Duty) series are 3 piece design up to shaft size Ø220 mm. For larger shaft sizes a 4 piece design is needed, the outer ring will be radial split and bolt together.
HD (Heavy Duty) series are 4 piece design and identical to the large bore ND series. Due to the wider outer ring (radial split) the larger effective sliding surface can handle higher loads. Therewith the maximum angle of tilt is restricted.
Feroball® I (Imperial) series are available for inch size shaft and housing design.
On request Feroball® FW (Wide range) series are available. Feroball® FW series accept larger angles of tilt. Ask for our possibilities.
